    Skills and Feats: Hide –2, Listen +9, Spot +8
    Improved Grab (Ex): If Madclaw hits a Large or smaller opponent with a claw attack, he deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity (grapple bonus +15).
   
    The owlbear known as Madclaw to the druids that border his territory was always leaner and meaner than other owlbears his size. Smart enough to stay out of the way of the larger males, he managed to outlive them when they wasted their energy fighting each other (only to fall prey to adventurers or other predators). Now approaching old age, he has grown more vicious over time and attacks when approached, desperate to prove his strength to younger owlbears who might try to steal his territory.
